Strawberries & Creem Festival 2016

Where were you on Saturday 11th June? If you wasn’t at Strawberries and Creem festival, I’m sorry to tell you, but you missed out big time. One of the best line-ups you could ask for to start off the summer vibes.

Strawberries and Creem is an up and coming festival located in the heart of Cambridge. In 2015 Strawberries and Creem hit the bar with their top Headliner, Skepta, the legendary grime artist. This year they came back even harder with a dope line up that made Strawberries and Creem a sold out festival, with a turn out of 5,000 people.

The main stage was blessed with the presence of Grime legend Kano, who had the festivalgoers rushing to the main stage as soon as they heard his voice.  Let’s not forget Channel One Sounds System, D Double E and Big Narstie, who rocked stage and had everyone going crazy, literally crazy!  It gets even better…  Nelly, yes Nelly, also graced the stage, bringing us back to Old Skool RnB with hot tracks such as “Dilemma” and “Ride Wit Me”.

The crowds were lucky to be spoilt with two stages that had great music throughout the whole day. DJ’s such as BBC Radio 1Xtra’s very own, Jamz Supernova, Star One, Snakehips and David Rogan warmed up the crowd and kept the party vibe going throughout the day with their amazing sets on the main stage. While Crazy Cousinz, Meta, Benton and other amazing artist had The Big Strawberry dance tent packed out with ravers. Everywhere you went was full of energy, with music coming from all angles.

If you didn’t go this year, make sure you attend in 2017 because it looks like Cambridge is looking like the new summer festival spot! The Strawberries and Cream team did a phenomenal job transforming Haggis farm into a wonderful festival location.
